Mission Statement

St. Mary Catholic Secondary School is a community of faith and Centre of learning. We are an inclusive community, rooted in the teachings of Jesus Christ, with a mission to develop the spiritual, academic, and social potential of all students, as builders of a just society.

You can feel the difference when you walk our halls, talk to our teachers, engage in our school activities or volunteer at our events. We live our faith and Catholic virtues. We're also fortunate to have a Chaplain on staff as an additional source of support for our students.

St. Mary is proud of its inclusivity and safe environment. Accessible facilities are available for all, and students follow standards of behaviour outlined in the code of conduct for attendance, dress code, homework, safe schools, social media etiquette, and study periods.

The transportation page explains eligibility for those requiring busing, and expected behaviour for students who drive to school.

St. Mary Catholic Secondary School acknowledges a responsibility to ensure quality learning as an integral dimension of the educational community.

It is our objective that all professional staff:

  • Provide a quality Catholic education which supports the development of moral character as well as critical and creative thought.

  • Meet the unique development levels of its students so they strive to achieve the provincial standard while maintaining a minimum of 60%.

  • Motivate students to live faith-filled lives that reflect Christian values and promote a commitment to community service.

Our Administrative team keeps things running smoothly, as well as our office staff who assist with admission and registrations, and countless other duties.

We invite you to experience the positive energy of the our students!

And, as always, feel free to contact us with any questions, concerns or feedback.
