Registration process for Grade 8 and Secondary School Students who attend a school from another School Board:
Please note that it is the responsibility of parents/guardians to gather all the mandatory documents listed below.  Incomplete packages will not be accepted. As directed by our Administration, we require all requested documentation before scheduling an intake meeting.
Step 1: Complete the Pre-Registration Online Form
Step 2: You will then receive a follow-up email from Guidance requesting the following information. To help expedite the process, please reply with all requested documents attached in a SINGLE EMAIL. 
Proof of Date of Birth 
Birth Certificate, Certificate of Live Birth, Passport, Certification of Citizenship
Proof of Residency 
According to our Board policy, the following documents are considered valid proof of residence:
Lease agreement or property deed
Utility bill (hydro, water, or gas only)
Residential cable/TV, internet, or home landline phone bill
Property tax bill
Driver’s licenses and cell phone bills are not accepted as valid proof of address. *Please note that these documents must show the name of the legal parent or guardian and be mailed to the registration address.

Students who have recently moved to Northumberland County.
Direction of Property Taxes Form
Allows people, jointly responsible for the payment of property taxes, either directly through ownership or indirectly through the payment of rent, one of whom must be Catholic, to direct school support to the Catholic system.
First Nation, Métis and Inuit Self-identification Form
All parents/guardians of First Nation, Métis, and Inuit students who are under 18 years of age have the right to voluntarily self-identify. The Board collects this confidential student self-identification data for the purpose of student achievement, determining the success of current programs, and providing information for decision making regarding the support, development and provision of programs and services required to ensure the success of all students.  
Step 3: Parent/student meeting with Vice-Principal 
 Intake meeting for students with no IEP
New secondary school students will have an intake meeting with a VP and Guidance Counsellor. Course selection will take place during that meeting.
OR
Transition meeting for students with an IEP
Students with an Individual Education Plan (I.E.P.) will have a transition meeting with a Vice-Principal, Special Education Resource Teacher and Guidance Counsellor to ensure accommodations are in place for a smooth transition to secondary school. Course selection will take place during that meeting.

To officially register, parents/guardians must complete the 4 page 
School Student Transfer form located in the Parent Portal account of the elementary school your child(ren) attend. (See instructions below)
