Registration Procedure
To register your child(ren) at St. Mary Catholic Secondary School, all the documents listed below need to be emailed to Dawn Clapperton, Guidance Secretary.
*Please note - we must receive all the required documents or there will be a delay registration.An intake meeting whether in-person or virtual will then be scheduled with the parent/guardian.
This intake meeting involves a VP, a Guidance Counsellor and/or staff member from the Special Education Department.The parent/guardian and registering child must attend the meeting.

Registration Packages
Secondary school students from another board in a PUBLIC/CATHOLIC SECONDARY SCHOOL looking to register must hand in the following information:
Student History Form (request VP at your current school to complete)
Transcript - (request from Guidance at your current school)
Credit Counselling Summary - (request from Guidance at your current school)
Most recent Report Card
Proof of Birth Verification - (Birth Certificate, Passport, Canadian Citizenship, Certificate of Live Birth)
Latest I.E.P. - Individual Education Plan - (only if applicable)
First Nation, Métis and Inuit Voluntary Self-Identification Form (only if applicable)
Custody Papers (only if applicable)
Emergency Response Procedure for Medical Conditions Form (only if applicable)
$25 Student Activity Fee (this fee is required every school year to help cover the cost of a Chromebook that is assigned to every student)
Upload Immunization Record (only if applicable)
For students who have recently moved into the HKPR District Health Unit boundary.
Grade 8 students from an ELEMENTARY SCHOOL (not one of our feeder schools listed below) looking to register must hand in the following information:

*Please note: An interview with one of our Vice-Principals, our Student Success Teacher and/or Special Education Staff may be requested for some grade 8 students to ensure a smooth transition.
Grade 8 students in our CATHOLIC ELEMENTARY FEEDER SCHOOLS looking to register:
Students in our feeder schools (see list of schools below) will receive their registration packages directly from our Student Success Teacher, November through December during their elementary school visit. If a student who did not register prior to the February registration deadline, they must contact our Student Success Teacher, Kim Lowry to follow up on registering.

The personal information contained on the forms is collected in accordance with the Education Act and the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. Emergency Response Procedures information is collected for the purpose of responding to a medical emergency and will be reviewed annually. Questions with respect to this information should be directed to the school Principal.
